Spraying Duratec Primer.116 viewsSpraying primer on the deck instead of Gel Coat. Gel coat is heavy, 9 lbs a gallon and requires 18 to 20 mil's (.020 thousanth's of an inch) to cover vs 10 12 mil's of primer. As we will be painting non-skid, we chose to skip the gel coat for weight savings.
