Houston, we have a new Mini Hull..... Posted by : sausmusiii
New Series Mini Transat 6.50 m Racer. The pour for the keel fin should have been done on Monday.

This is a picture of the mold ready to receive molten iron.

Painted the cockpit areas that will not have non-skid. Katie selected and custom mixed the color for the vertical surfaces. Really fast looking..... (Kind of reminds me of a 55 Chevy Nomad.) 2/27/2009

We started to paint the deck today. 02/26/2009.

We have started painting the areas were there will be no non-skid to reduce chafe on lines and for visual appeal. Our cockpit and non- skit will be two different colors. For a small extra fee we can let you customize the deck colors on your boat. Just tell us when you order.....

On 2/19/2009 we installed and glued the deck to the hull. Major milestone.

We turned the hull, barrier coated it (standard on an eKo) and put on bottom paint. We will flip it back and put the deck on next week.

Hull with bottom paint.

Also started and finished milling the keel skin mold. More to come.

The interior is all the way in and waiting for paint.

Off to take the keel pattern to the foundry tomorrow.
